Over the past few years, air services to Canada have diminished. British Airways fly daily to Vancouver from Heathrow with selected services from Gatwick as well. However, they no longer fly to Calgary. Air Canada fly daily from Heathrow to both Vancouver and Calgary and also operate a seasonal service from Manchester to Toronto with connections to the west
No frills carrier Westjet has frequent Heathrow, Edinburgh and Gatwick services to Calgary with connections to Vancouver. Competitor, Air Transat, features flights to Toronto with connections westbound
From regional airports, KLM via Amsterdam is always worth thinking about
If you are starting or finishing in Fairbanks or Anchorage, the most popular route is to use British Airways from London Heathrow to Seattle with an Alaska Airlines connection. BA usually operate two flights per day to Seattle. You can also use Delta on the same route to Seattle with a Delta connection to Anchorage.
If your cruise starts and ends in Seattle, then using direct BA or Delta services make good sense
